EU Talk: Empowering Palestinian Youth Innovators

Situation

In 2022, the European Union organized the “EU Talk Event” in Palestine, where we introduced a unique youth competition format. Inspired by TED talks, the event aimed to foster dialogue on socio-economic and political issues by inviting participants to share their innovative ideas and project proposals through a survey initiated by us. This approach led to the selection of six winners, all from Gaza and the West Bank, recognized for their impactful solutions to regional challenges. The competition not only empowered young Palestinians by providing them with a platform to showcase their visions for sustainable development and effective governance but also underscored the EU’s commitment to engaging youth and promoting their leadership potential in shaping Palestine’s future
